Argentine cuisine, for the most part, was influenced by Italian gastronomy, because between 50% and 60% descend from Italians. Pasta, ice cream, tiramisu and, the most famous, pizza. In addition to the Latin American country, it transcended in certain parts of the United States, such as New York. On this occasion I will do a gastronomic review of the New York style pepperoni pizza.

In August 2021 Sbarro, a New York pizzeria, arrived in Argentina. A year later, I came to this place to try one of its seven round pizzas: the pepperoni one. I chose it because it seemed to me the most striking and the one that I was most likely to like.
First impressions
Like all New York-style pizza, it is thin but big, something very different from what we are used to in Argentina. A combination of mozzarella, tomato, oregano and pepperoni is always good, so it looks good. Regarding the price, it is relatively good since the price can be divided among the diners: $1700 (argentinian pesos).
Examination
Since the pandemic measures were relaxed at the end of last year, I have never had the opportunity to enter this place to taste some pizza. However, being close to my new job, I was able to drop in for lunch at Sbarro.
Like any pizzeria and fast food restaurant, very bright, with a line to buy and another to receive the order. And, of course, it's all fast. At most, in 10 minutes you have already paid and have lunch/dinner served.
Pros and cons
Pros: It maintains the roots of New York pizza, it has a rich flavor and the price of the food is reasonable. There is almost no waiting, so you can take your food in a few minutes and the atmosphere is great for any group of people: family, friends, partner or alone.
Cons: Perhaps it would lack a greater number of toppings, since it does not fill the diner. It gives that feeling that something is missing, a little more mozzarella and pepperoni.
Final score
As a lover of Italian food, especially pizza, I think that Sbarro has good options to eat, plus the one already mentioned and the one I tried. Despite having only one con, I think it is a useful alternative for those who want to taste them. My final score is 9.
