Trying a cake can be something different based on the ingredients used and depending on the place that makes it. The same goes for other foods. Eating a cake, also, is related to something eaten during a snack or as a serving of dessert. Sometimes with friends, sometimes with family, and sometimes alone. On many occasions it is a good outing and even more so if there is a cheesecake involved.

This cake, typical for cheese and red fruits, is requested by many locals by diners who are fascinated by it. Its tasting is usually paramount when it comes to having a snack or dessert, and it never makes you wait.

In this culinary review, we will examine a cake famous for its elements and its history: the red fruit cheesecake. But it's not just any, more specifically the cake from the Tienda de Café gastronomic venue.

First impression

The first detail is always the view of how the product is presented. In this case, on a small metal plate, something that seemed to me a not so correct way of serving it. Also, the look is seen as inconsistent. My first impression was not what I expected before ordering the same.

Examination

After seeing the product on the menu, I wanted to try it. $5,94 USD for a portion seemed reasonable to me in relation to the price of other tortas within the premises and in relation to those in other gastronomic places. It's like saying that I got the craving and wanted to try it. A cake of that style can always be a good option when choosing something sweet.

Pros y cons

Pros: The taste was passable going to good, something within everything positive. The other and last undoubted aspect is that the ingredients were easily appreciated.

Cons: In relation to price-quality it is not appropriate, since being a relatively normal price for a slice of cake, the taste was not what was desired for what it was. It also does not have a good presentation, so that the product is less appreciated. Being plated in a kind of metal tray and the inconsistent shape of the piece leaves much to be desired.

Final score

My final score on the cheesecake from Tienda de Café is 4 out of 10 because, despite being a widely consumed product in the local market (from Argentina), it lacked the magic that makes a cake something delicious, colorful and at a good price.
